I did round numbers up, for example, 174 cm is 5’8.5, but technically the 8.5 can round to 9, making it in the 5’9 range.
First you need to know your conversions…2.54 cm is equal to 1”. That being said…the math becomes a division question.
173 divided by 2.54 to give you total inches then… 68.11”
then another division problem to get it converted to feet..
68.11” now divide by 12 for the total feet 5.6758 feet…
notice this is NOT 5’ and .6758 of an inch..it is the remainder which calculates to 67.58 percent of 12…
and that math works out to 8.1” soooo. Going forward…173 cm is equal to 5 feet 8.1 inches.
